Once upon a time, we partnered with a failing downtown restaurant with the understanding that if the partnership failed, everyone would walk away with what they brought in. For them, it was the physical building and bookkeeping; for us, the recipes and concept. The partnership proved to be a clash of cultures, and as the partnership dissolved, the counterparts proved to us that their word was worthless. Our lawsuit to stop them from using our stuff was dismissed on a technicality. The other party has since established another restaurant to directly compete with us using our own recipes and concept. As many people have shared that tried the new place, it seems they brought the same expertise to this endeavor as they did the last—just a building and bookkeeping. We apologize for the confusion, but at least now you can make the educated choice.
If you've been to a barbecue joint in Texas, you've probably ordered family-style. We just brought the concept to seafood. This simplified, quick, economical way of ordering is perfect for large groups or families. With family style, you order your shrimp, fish of choice, and oysters by the pound or half pound. You can have it prepared how you like, either fried, grilled, blackened, or broiled. It's such an efficient way of ordering that we respectfully ask any group over 15 people to order family style. You will not be disappointed!
Yes, where available. We've been buying our produce from the same local vendor for almost 20 years. You can find Roland at the produce stand started by his father, Frank, on Baldwin St in Corpus Christi. Charlie Alegria has been our fish monger and serenader for close to 10 years. Many locals will remember the store he operated in Corpus for decades, Morgan St Seafood. Shrimp is our most popular commodity, and we tend to shop for the best quality and deals we can find to pass that on to you.
We try to accommodate all requests for modifications as much as possible.
